The ADAC Revival Sprint, which was to take place on the Friday evening before the ADAC 1000 km race, is being reconsidered for 2023.
New concept in 2023
As organisation manager Henning Meyersrenken stated, the concept for the evening race has to be revised. "We underestimated that many owners only sporadically move their open sports cars and GTs, which were supposed to start on the Grand Prix circuit for 45 min. on Friday evening. But then not necessarily in a race under sporting law conditions. For example, some of them lack a car passport and/or racing licence, which is indispensable for participation in a race."
Vehicles as Experience back on the Nordschleife
So we will find a new approach here for next year's edition, which will take place from 08.09. - 10.09.2023. "Our goal is to bring the vehicles back to the Nürburgring-Nordschleife as part of an experience. Sporty but without the pressure of a race, but then also over the entire circuit including the legendary Nordschleife with all the fascination of historic sports cars in the green hell!
