The DHLM has written its first chapter: at the opening race of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers, more than 100 cars lined up on the starting grid, immediately creating an impressive field of competitors. The mix of historic racing cars and high-performance classics offered spectators motorsport of the very highest standard. From the outset, an intense competition developed, impressively demonstrating the high level of performance in the new championship.

Porsche duo make the most of the race
Oliver Boyke and Michael Joos secured the first victory in DHLM’s history in the Porsche 911 RSR (IMSA specification). After the Griesemann team’s car, which had initially been leading, retired on lap 14, the duo took the lead and held it comfortably to the finish. Behind them, André Kunkel, Michael Funke and Heiko Hammel, also in a Porsche RSR, battled with a puncture and an extra pit stop, but fought their way back to the front with a strong comeback and finished the race in second place, just 18.9 seconds behind. The podium was completed by Ralf Schall in the Mercedes-Benz 190 E Evo II.

A preview of the upcoming highlights at the Nürburgring
