Change to the programme – A packed motorsport programme over two action-packed days

The 2026 ADAC 1000km race weekend will be held over two days – Saturday and Sunday, 19 and 20 September. The originally planned Friday opener has been cancelled, as the “Touring Car Grand Prix” scheduled for 2026 has been postponed to 2027 due to scheduling conflicts with other racing series. The updated schedule also promises a packed motorsport weekend on the full Nürburgring circuit – featuring the Grand Prix circuit and the legendary Nordschleife.

DHLM Season Finale: The Battle for the First Championship Title

Round 3 of the DHLM gets underway on Saturday 19 September – Round 4 on Sunday also marks the season finale. The German Historic Endurance Championship has got off to a flying start in its inaugural season: at the first round, held as part of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring Qualifier, a Porsche duo came out on top, leaving fans eager for more. Now, the first championship titles in the series’ history will be awarded at the Nürburgring – a historic moment for historic motorsport. Over 130 teams will battle it out over the full distance in thrilling three-hour races for points, podium places and the title.

The Golden Age of Touring Cars, Audi & Porsche Club Meet: More than just racing

Alongside the DHLM, the Golden Era Touring Cars – featuring icons from the DTM, DRM, STW and WTCC – will provide another motorsport highlight on the full Nürburgring circuit. The weekend is rounded off by a club meet-up organised by the Audi Club International. In addition, drivers of Porsche Transaxle models – which will celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2026 – will gather, once again lending the ADAC 1000km Nürburgring the character of a major brand celebration. With the 924, 928, 944 and 968 models, Porsche built a generation of sports cars between 1976 and 1995 that had moved far away from the tried-and-tested principles of the 911, but which are now becoming increasingly popular among classic car enthusiasts.

The paddock, pit roof and grandstands are open to visitors and fans – grid walks to the starting grids offer a level of proximity to the teams and cars that is rarely found at any other event.
