Revival sprint races and demo runs await fans and visitors on Friday, September 16, 2022, and practice/qualifying and racing on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Sunday is all about the frame races that round off the weekend. Up to 220 teams may compete in the legendary endurance classic.
Continuation of a successful new edition
At the premiere for the revival of the old races in 2021, almost 100 teams came and took the Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit under their wheels. Most of them had good race strategies, which in this case of the very long track, were designed for durability of material and machine.
Full speed ahead in preparations for 2022
Brake changes, tire changes, fuel stops made the pit lane a highlight next to the track and an extensive grid walk through the starting grid of several starting groups attracted the fans and delighted the visitors and guests.
Now the organizing team of the 1000km race is going full throttle again with the preparations for next year.
Many registrations from well-known teams have already arrived - many drivers and owners of classic racing equipment want to be there again.
It is clear that ticket sales will then start again.
