This coming weekend, history will be made once again on the entire Nürburgring circuit. Over 80 teams have registered to participate in the revival of the ADAC 1000 km race. As befits their status, last year's winners André Kunkel, Michael Funke and Heiko Hammel will be competing in the Porsche 911 RSR with start number 1. The crowd favourite and cult racing car Opel Manta with Peter Hass and Volker Strycek will also be back at the start with number 58.

Golden Era Touring Cars – 3 sprint laps on the Nordschleife
Participants in the "Touring Car Golden Era" racing series will now traditionally start their season finale in the 1000 km race as a separate starting group over three laps on the entire Nürburgring circuit. More and more drivers are excited about the special opportunity to tackle the Nordschleife in a touring car race. This year, 33 cars are registered – another significant increase on last year's event.

Demolition runs of sports prototypes and Group 5 racing cars
A total of 24 vehicles are registered for the demo runs of the prototypes and Group 5 racing cars on the Nordschleife on Saturday and the Grand Prix circuit on Friday and Sunday. They will be joined by additional racing cars, which will provide a wonderful backdrop in the historic pit lane area of the Nürburgring.
